V/F United Fall Recreation Program Information

2008 Fall Recreation Notes:

2008 Fall 7-9 Coed Schedule

2008 Fall 10-12 Coed Schedule

Overview:

  • The Fall Recreational Soccer Program season runs, for about 7 weeks, from early September until the end of October. The teams only meet on Sundays.

  • This program is limited to children who are between the ages of 7 and 12 on July 31st of the current year.

  • Every team plays a game each Sunday at 1:00, 2:00 or 3:00 pm.

  • You will be contacted by your child’s coach before the first week with your team’s actual schedule.

  • We rarely have make-up games in the fall since this would carry the season beyond the last week of October.

  • The program uses fields located at the Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack as well as at Farmington and Victor town parks. Until the number of teams in each age group is known, it is not possible to give specifics on locations for each group.

  • All teams are co-ed. In the past this program has consisted of 2 age groupings: a 7, 8, and 9 year old division and a 10, 11, and 12 year old division. If enough children register in each age group, then we may divide them into smaller divisions to decrease the age spread.

  • Rain does not mean a game or practice is cancelled. Coaches and referees must meet on the field at game time to determine playing conditions.

  • Shin guards are required for all players. They are available at most stores that sell sports equipment.

  • No official scores or standings are kept for any age group bracket. Emphasis is on sportsmanship and enjoyment of the game.

  • Playing time will be divided as equally as possible amongst all players.

  • More information on philosophy and coaching guidelines can be found in our Recreational program philosophy statement.

  • More details on this program can be found on our Fall FAQ page.
