(VSC) 11/01/2011 11:11 AM http://www.victorsoccerclub.org/home/550392.html Over the past year, feedback provided to V/F United Soccer Club via surveys, player and parent input and the community suggested that club more closely align its name, colors, player development and relationships with the Victor community and the Victor Central Schools. 

 

In response to this feedback, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to change the club’s name and official colors. As of August 1st, 2011, The Victor-Farmington United Soccer Club will be known as Victor Soccer Club (VSC). The new club colors will follow the official blue and gold colors of the Victor Central School. We are in the process of updating our website, advertising and promotional materials and last but not least our uniforms!!! 

 

In addition to the name and color change, the club has reached out to both the Victor Central School soccer coaches and the Victor Soccer Boosters organization to create stronger partnerships.  The club has been working closely with the school soccer coaches to ensure that the club is cultivating strong players who represent the future of Victor JV and Varsity soccer teams.  We have initiated conversations between VSC and the Victor Soccer Boosters to more closely align our organizations in support of Victor soccer. The club continues to explore more opportunities for the Victor youth soccer community to improve their skills through programs such as the VSC Winter Skills Academy.

 

We hope you share the enthusiasm of the Board of Directors as we implement these changes. We look forward to seeing lots of new Victor soccer blue and gold on the fields, in school and around town in the very near future.
